Who Are We

I am Charis (Na for my Chinese family and friends), founder of Nexus Global Advisors. I am a C-suite communicator and relationship builder. Through Nexus Global Advisors, I support Chinese companies going global and global organisations partnering with China/Asia in three ways:

Identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships to drive international expansion
Developing industry forums and peer networks to create business opportunities and elevate organisational thought leadership
Practitioner-insight-led leadership coaching and team intervention to enhance executive retention and team performance

As a convener, I have shaped influential industry conversations worldwide by curating high-profile forums for leading media brands. As a problem solver, I took on P&L and team management responsibilities, turned businesses around, facilitated cross-border joint ventures, and advised on market entry strategies for a global convention operator in China. As a C-suite communicator, I acted as a trusted advisor to senior executives from Fortune 500 companies (average revenue USD 30 billion), helping them navigate disruptive market forces and build resilient management approaches.

My international experience across Singapore, Hong Kong and London, combined with fluency in English, Mandarin and French, provides a valuable cross-cultural perspective. As a qualified yoga teacher and an executive coach, I place well-being and cultural intelligence at the centre of my approach in empowering leaders and their teams to thrive in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) world.

Bloomberg New Economy Forum 2021 Charis curated 12 workshop-style discussions aligned with the forum's core themes. This involved recruiting over 50 thought leaders, including prominent figures like Hank Paulson and various international mayors, to lead these closed-door sessions on critical global issues. Furthermore, Charis managed VIP speaker relations on-site, coordinating closely with Bloomberg's audience, operations, and news teams to ensure seamless program execution across both physical and virtual platforms.

China Market Entry and Event Launch Study On behalf of GL Events, Na conducted a feasibility study for launching thought leadership conferences in Guangzhou, in collaboration with Yuexiu Property.

Executive Coaching and Peer Network Development At the World 50 Group, Charis facilitated a community of women executives who are global C-suite direct reports, helping them navigate their leadership and enterprise-level business challenges in today's rapidly changing world. She acted as a trusted advisor to each member by curating private conversations with their peers and mentors, turning the community into their advisory council; she brought together thought leaders from all sectors to provide just-in-time insights that support members' decision-making in a timely and precise manner.
